AC/DC Frontman's "HELEN OF TROY" Musical To Premier In March
July 15, 2002Helen of Troy, an action-filled love story/musical based on Greek mythology that features brand new material composed by AC/DC frontman Brian Johnson, is scheduled to premier at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall in Sarasota, Florida during the week of March 20-25, 2003.
As previously reported, Johnson is working with British composer Brendan Healy and Sarasota Ballet Artistic Director Robert de Warren on the $1.2 million production, for which Brian has reportedly written 14 songs. After a nine-show run, Helen of Troy will tour Florida, with tentative plans for a national tour a short time later.
In other news, the web site of the Paradox Recording Studio has reported that Brian has recorded a track for a children's album that will feature other famous rock artists. No further information is available at this time.
